The Calling: Be a Youth Champion This Summer
Are you looking for a summer role that is more than just a paycheck? Lago Vista Neighbor (LVN) is looking for 4–6 energetic, faith-filled young adults to serve as Summer Staff. This is a front-line ministry opportunity to mentor teen “Youth Leaders,” lead activities for elementary students, and be a Christ-centered presence in the heart of our vibrant neighborhood. Make your summer count by investing in the next generation.
Core Responsibilities
- Mentor & Coach: Lead a small group of “Youth Leaders”, helping them grow in their faith and leadership skills.
- Run the Fun: Lead spiritual, recreational, and academic activities for elementary and secondary students.
- Be a Role Model: Demonstrate Biblical character in your relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff.
- Grow Spiritually: Faithfully complete the weekly staff reading and Bible studies designed to fuel your own walk with Christ.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain a high standard of supervision and safety for all participants according to LVN guidelines.
About You (Qualifications)
- Follower of Jesus: You have a growing relationship with God and heart for sharing His love.
- A Leader: You are at least 16 years old and ready to take initiative.
- A Team Player: You are coachable, able to follow instructions, and willing to incorporate feedback.
- Reliable: You show up on time and are ready to engage with high energy.
- Mission-Minded: You have a genuine desire to see kids in low-income neighborhoods flourish spiritually and academically.
- Requirement: Must pass a background screening prior to start date.
Scope & Compensation
- The Commitment: May 26, 2026 – July 30, 2026.
- The Rhythm: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (17–20 hours/week).
- The Pay: $15.85 – $19.50 / hour (Based on experience and qualifications). Paid monthly via direct deposit.
