Through personal loss and a redirection of their dreams, the Lord thrust Mel, her husband Jeremy, and their three kids into a new set of perspectives, priorities and purpose, leading to nine years of service as ministry champions for a community program working with unhoused families. Her time spent as a youth in trouble, including a season of being unhoused, has given Mel a heart and passion for those whose life opportunities are limited. Mel has been trained in walking alongside the hurting, listening well, and offering hope. She was rescued by Jesus in her twenties and longs for others to know the freedom of experiencing His Love and loving Him in return. Having experienced an organic, unofficial form of incarnational ministry, Mel is thrilled to serve and support the mission of Lago Vista Neighbor.
