Luz Kipsey

I was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa Mexico, I moved to the United States to improve my English, and I fell in love with San Diego, CA. However, in Southern California most people spoke Spanish, and I realized that I didn’t learn much, but I met Chip, an American national, who I married, and we moved to Colorado. We have three children: Hagan, Darrell, and Hailey. I am very fortunate to be surrounded by amazing people who I admire very much.
English was completely incorporated into my life. My experience started when I was working with families for the Head Start program, and since December 2021 I was given the great news to work as a Family, School and Community Partnerships Specialist in the Thompson School District and this school year I started as part of the full-time staff at Cottonwood Plains Elementary.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and learning about the resources around me, I enjoy traveling, dancing, and spreading kindness in my life, I love volunteering, practicing and implementing self-improvement. I thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to be a member of this wonderful program.
